Aretina is a junior associate with Pavleas Avocats. She is a Greek qualified lawyer specialized in information technology and intellectual property law. In addition, Aretina assists in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
Before joining the firm in August 2019, Aretina trained as in-house counsel for six months in the Digital Legal department at Amazon EU, based in Luxembourg, specializing in product counseling for Alexa and Amazon devices and risk analysis and mitigation in relation to existing products from acquired companies. Aretina also advised on a range of IP and AI law issues, as well as data protection and privacy matters for Amazon EMEA, focusing on the French market.
Aretina completed half-year placements at the Institute of Competition law as associate editor, and in the Department of Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Embassy of Greece in France, promoting Greek exports into the French market. She completed an eighteen-month placement as a trainee lawyer at the Athens Bar Association, specializing in civil litigation, competition law, real estate and commercial law.
Earlier this year, Aretina assisted in preparing and teaching a specialty course on data protection as part of the Digital & IP master’s program at the Hautes Études Appliquées du Droit (HEAD).
Aretina holds a law degree from Université Sorbonne Paris Nord and a master’s degree (M2) in International and European Economic law from Université Sorbonne Paris Nord. She also holds a Diploma in Competition Law from Panthéon-Assas University in Paris.
Aretina is fluent and works daily in Greek, English and French, as well as having an intermediate level of German.
Aretina has been admitted to the Athens Bar Association since 2019.
